Missy and Paul's engagement session took place on the official first day of Spring- but with this being Nashville, the weather decided to throw some super chilly wind our way. Get this- it even snowed on us for a not very hot minute! But here's the thing, these two were so fun to work with and so obviously happy to be with one another that the cold didn't bother us a bit. In fact, we had a ridiculously fun day photographing these love bugs all over Nashville.
Missy and Paul first met at Red Door East- so of course that had to be our first stop of the day for their session. We enjoyed a couple drinks, had some food, toasted their engagement with some cool strangers, and then even did a little recreation of how they first locked eyes on each other from across the room!
Next we picked up their adorable pups, Lucy and Sophie, and headed over to the largest magnolia tree you've ever seen! This particular tree was quite significant since it was on the property where Paul grew up and held lots of childhood memories. We love being able to tie in special locations for engagement sessions, and this one truly was. Plus, we got some good puppy loves from Sophie and Lucy- score!
After dropping off the fur babes at home we headed downtown. We LOVE this town and love being able to pop from place to place with our couples for a variety of locations. The rest of our session included the most luscious purple blooming trees you've ever seen, a stroll around lower Broadway and the riverfront, enjoying some whisky and video games, some impromptu dancing with live music, and a walk down Printers Ally. Basically- this day won. We are SO excited for Missy and Paul's wedding, and even happier to have gotten the chance to know them better!
